Robert J Moreland

Robert Moreland, formerly of Lockport, passed away on Friday May 7, 2021.  Born in Lockport, NY on December 21, 1932 he was the son of the late Samuel and Vernie (Pomeroy) Moreland.

Bob retired from Harrison Radiator after 38 years of service as a Tool and Die Maker.  Before that he served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Joan, children; Daniel (Kathleen), Julie (Philip) Ludovico, Bonnie (Johnny) Tubbleville and Scott (Pamela); sister Margaret, predeceased by sisters Marilyn, Elizabeth and Dorothy.  He was “Buppy” to 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.   Bob’s favorite interests included golfing, bowling, baseball and spending time with his family.  He was a member of many golf clubs where he was a club champion numerous times at Niagara County Golf Course, Oak Run and Shelridge Country Club.  Bob was one of the best athletes in WNY and had 4 hole in ones as his many accomplishments.  Bob will always be remembered for his contagious smile, laugh and kindness to everyone.  He enjoyed margaritas, salt in his beer, watching baseball and his  morning breakfast clubs.  Bob (“Big Guy/Buppy”) will be dearly missed by family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.  A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
