Robert J. Williams, 84, peacefully passed away on September 8, 2020, with family by his side.
He was born on November 8, 1935 in River Forest, Illinois. A graduate of Proviso East HS (Maywood, IL), he served two years in the United States Army stationed in Germany. Bob worked at Commonwealth Edison for 40 years until his retirement in 1994. He was a long-time resident of Carpentersville, IL and Marengo, IL. He lived the past four years in Hudson, FL.
Bob, with his wife, Mary, enjoyed traveling in their RV, family camping trips with their children and grandchildren, enjoying collecting antique radios, spending time outdoors and listening to country music.
Robert will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Mary, and their six children, Susan (Steve) Holmes, Algonquin, IL, Debra Camacho, Hudson, FL, Gail (Mike) Blahnik, Hudson, FL, David (Jeanne), Chicago, IL, Lynn (Mike) Sherbon, Machesney Park, IL and Kimberly (Tim) Keefer, Marengo, IL,; sixteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, as well as numerous family and friends.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, and his brothers Richard and James.

A memorial service and interment will be held at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. (to be confirmed)
