Roscoe Osbron Jr. Obituary

Roscoe O. Osbron Jr., age 80 of Hudson, Florida, was born November 7, 1941 and passed from this life to his eternal home on May 5, 2022. Roscoe was born in Lacoochee, Florida. In his youth he joined the United States Army serving 20 years with two tours in Vietnam. Roscoe was a Chief Warrant Officer, Engineer, Special Forces Instructor, Demolition Expert and Helicopter Pilot. After retiring from the army, he became owner and operator of Dixie Precast Products producing precast decorative concrete in New Port Richey for over 30 years.

Roscoe loved serving his community. He was a true patriot, a member of the Pasco Republican Executive Committee, President of the Second Amendment Club and Ambassador for SmileFaith Foundation. Roscoe made sure that the SmileFaith Veterans Dental Bus was always ready to go out on special dental events. You would find him at SmileFaith every week faithfully repairing dental chairs, working on the dental bus and just being available to do whatever was needed to help people in need. He was often found volunteering and barbecuing for charity events. Everyone loved his "Smokey Chicken!" He was a life-time member of the NRA and was very active in teaching firearm safety. If there was a friend or neighbor in need, he was there to help. Roscoe loved the Lord and was a man of few words, believing actions speak louder than words.

In his free time he loved to garden, producing numerous vegetables and fruit. If there was something to be fixed, he would find a way to fix it. Camping and fishing with his family was always on his agenda. He dabbled in many hobbies and skills, carpentry, mechanics, boating, lapidary (he called himself a rock hound), master tinkerer,  metal fabrication, history buff, along with numerous other interests. He was always looking to expand his knowledge.

Survivors include his wife Linda, 7 children, Karen Mogensen and Jeff, Barbara Vanover and Rick Foti, Jeremy Johnson and Ashley, Wes Johnson, Jake Johnson, Jacqueline Osbron, and Ashly Arbes and Bruce, 8 grandchildren, Melissa, Mathew, Christopher, Nathan, David, Channing, Casen, and Lilian, and 1 great grandchild, Riley. Sister Theresa White, brother John Osbron and Lori, sister-in-law Debbie Bryant, Brother-in-law Mike Walker and Liz and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Roscoe and Myrna Osbron, and brother Robert Osbron. Roscoe will be greatly missed!

The family welcomes you to join a Celebration of Life service 3:00pm Saturday, May 14, 2022 at SmileFaith Foundation, 5400 School Road, New Port Richey, Florida 34652. Doors open at 2:00pm. There will be food served following the service.
