Sharon McNeal

Sharon Anita McNeal of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on January 19, 2026 with her husband and children by her side.

Sharon was born on February 8, 1951, in Tampa, Florida, to Elmer Cook and Thelma (West) Cook, both preceding her in death. Raised in West Tampa, she graduated from Blake High School, class of 1969. Sharon worked as an administrative assistant in auto insurance before dedicating herself to her family as a homemaker.

She is survived by her dedicated husband of 54 years, Willie McNeal III. She was a devoted mother to her children: Iris D. McNeal, Willie McNeal IV (Nicole), April J. Smith (Timothy), David S. McNeal, Jonathan M. McNeal (Cierra). Sharon was also a cherished grandmother to nine (9) grandchildren and two (2) great-grandchildren. As an only child, Sharon considered her many cousins to be her brothers and sisters, sharing a special bond with each of them. She was deeply influenced by her aunts, uncles, and grandmothers, who played key roles as mentors throughout her life. Sharon had a selfless spirit and was a bastion of hope, faith, and love for her family and all who knew her.

For Sharon, faith and family were not just words but the very essence of her being—her greatest joy, her unwavering strength, and her life’s purpose. She poured her heart into every relationship, nurturing bonds that will forever echo with her love, wisdom, and selfless devotion. Her legacy of togetherness and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to call her family and friend.
