Willie Earl Hobbs was born January 20, 1959 in Mer Rouge, Louisiana to Omega Hobbs and Willie Donald Taylor. In grade school he moved to Beaumont, TX., where he was raised by his father, Willie Taylor and stepmother, Delores Taylor.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church by the late Rev. R.W. Jackson. He was a member of the usher board while attending New Pilgrim.
Willie Attended school in Beaumont, TX where he graduated high school with honors from Beaumont Charlton Pollard High School. After high school he was accepted and attended the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. He lived in Denver, CO. for over 30 years before moving to Spring Hill, FL, where he lived until he departed this life on Thursday, December, 26, 2024.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents Omega Hobbs, and Willie D. Taylor. Sister, Shelia Hobbs Richardson, and step sister, Carla Wilson Mitchell.
Willie leaves to cherish his memories, his partner, Richard Davidson, Stepmother, Delores Taylor, brothers, Willie Devon Caldwell of West Haven, CT, Fredrick Lee Hobbs, of Arkansas, William Collins, Houston, TX and stepbrother, Ronald C. Wilson ( Beatrice), of Houston, TX. Sisters, Mary E. Taylor "Ann" and Gail Caldwell, both of Columbia, SC, Kathy Taylor Daigle (Vincent) of Beaumont TX. Veronica Hill Bell, of Fort Worth, TX, Vanessa Hobbs Morgan (Nelson) of Arlington, TX, Olivia Hobbs Turner
of Fort Worth, TX, stepsister, Donna Wilson Jones (Terry), Beaumont, TX., a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Willie is a United States Air Force Veteran
He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
